HPC Resource

The consortium has purchased a Sun Enterprise 6500 parallel computer, with funding to upgrade in year three. This is a shared memory machine (SMP) containing thirty (30) UltraSparc II processors running at 400 Mhz. It has 30 Gbytes shared memory and a Gigabit ethernet link to the network. Access to the machine is by a web interface.
