The aim of the Electronics Design Centre is to create a research focus based on electronics design.  The Centre is the culmination of the growth of design related activities in the established groups within the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering and has the objective of providing leading edge research in electronics design and application. 

Moreover, the Centre deals with the issues surrounding tools, technologies, and methodologies required to deliver electronic systems into ultrafast, wideband, biomedical, and system-on-chip applications.  The Centre is extremely well equipped with test and measurement equipment, prototyping facilities, and design tools including a high performance computing cluster.
